Community Backyards Program - Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District
🌿 Community Backyards Rebate Program
Offered by the City of Columbus in partnership with ConnectUS
This program provides rebates to Franklin County residents who take small, sustainable actions in their own yards. Participants can earn a rebate by completing a short online course or attending an in-person workshop about water quality and conservation practices.
Eligible items include: • Rain barrels • Compost bins • Native plants or trees • Rain gardens
Once the course is completed, participants receive a rebate voucher (one per household, per year) which can be redeemed at participating retailers or submitted for reimbursement. Rebates and eligible items vary depending on your tax district. The program runs annually from spring through early fall and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
